This is the survey form that was conducted for students of IIUM to have their opinions about the window blind.



INTERPRET DATA

We choose questionnaire as our process of gathering raw data from customer. We use the same seven questions as the guideline and we done this survey on eight respondents. The first question is asking the customer whether they use window blind in their room. All of the respondent answer yes indicating that that they have blind in their rooms.

The second question is about having problem with the blind in their rooms, the faulty of window blind whether it is hard to adjust or not. Most of the respondent answers yes.

Next is asking whether the customer prefer automatic blind and all of them answer yes. It is because it is convenient for the customer where they do not have to go and adjust the window blind.

The most function use by the customer is lower and rising up the window blind compare to adjusting the tilt of the blind. From here, we choose to design our blind base on lower and rise the window blind.

We also ask the customer what they dislike about the conventional blind. Some of the answers are:
1. Tilting adjuster always broken.
2. The blade always broken and stuck.
3. The string always tangled
4. When the string entangled, the blind cannot rise the blind up and down.

Lastly, we asked in term of price, how much do they willing to pay for this automated window blind. The range of price is as low as RM 15 and as higher as RM200.

• To adjust the amount of sunlight that enter through window

• To automatically adjust the blind in order to control the amount of ray shining through the windows

4) DESIGN

• Automatically adjust the tilt of the blind and control it depends on the amount of sunlight using photo resistor
• Use the C programing to design the coding
